About The Owner

Trent Corey Headshot.png

Trent Corey received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Iowa in 2005. His undergraduate degree is in biomedical engineering, which gave him a great understanding of biomechanics and appreciation for the body that moves as a whole.

As a runner for nearly over 30 years, with high school and college success, Trent understands how improving form can lead to faster with less injury. After discovering ChiRunning and ChiWalking, everything about it made sense, plus it gave him a deeper connection to the energetic joy that is relaxed and free.

Having dealt with injuries before, ChiRunning and ChiWalking has helped to alleviate some of these issues. Running and walking have become more meditative, a practice that he loves to share with others.

As part of a select group of certified instructors internationally, Trent gives common sense instruction and knows how to transform all levels of walkers and runners using the ChiRunning and ChiWalking method.  He provides actionable steps to help you establish healthy movement habits for life.

Dr. Trent is trained in many effective and proven manual therapy techniques, including Pain Neutralization Technique (PNT) and Primal Reflex Release Technique (PRRT).  He has also trained in Counterstrain and several other methods over the years.

Though he has manual skills to help clients, Dr. Trent finds joy in teaching people how to be their own best healers.  He has online programs that do exactly that.

In his time away from work, Trent is very busy with two kids and likes to hike, camp, and travel with his wife, Rachel, whenever he can.  He still gets his running in and does his best to practice what he preaches
